Resumo

O presente artigo visa analisar o desenvolvimento da Arqueologia Pública enquanto prática e conceituação científica, e apresentar uma iniciativa de aplicação que vem sendo desenvolvida junto à comunidade do município de Ribeirão Grande, localizado na região sul do Estado de São Paulo, com apoio da Companhia de Cimento Ribeirão Grande.
