From the tragedies to the critics: moments of crisis

Abstract

The present essay intents approach certain specificities of the intellectual engagement in face of life. Therefore, it is initially organized from a reading of The spirit of science fiction, of Roberto Bolaño, and, in sequence, it interpellates how these specificities present themselves in the film that Pier Paolo Pasolini makes from the Oresteia, of Aeschylus. It analysis the question of the tragedy both from Nietzsche and the manners in which Pasolini unfolds the problems he reads in the opera of Aeschylus in his ways of looking at his time. Lastly, it proposes a reading of how this pasolinian procedure, in addition to indicates a mode of intellectual engagement, it loads a potentiality of questioning the operation – and the collapse – of the representative contemporary politics.
