Abstract
The essay focuses on the analytical-interpretative reading of Bernardo Kucinski’s fiction books, K.: relato de uma busca and Os visitantes, which deal with the disappearance of Ana Kucinski and her husband, Wilson Silva, during the military dictatorship. It is proposed that, instead of representing the violence unleashed by the repressive apparatus, Kucinski seems to collect the traces left in the wake of the crimes committed in the name of the State.
