Abstract
This article revisits the theorys of the three loves in Grande sertão: veredas (the love for Otacília, Nhorinhá and Diadorim), in order do examine the way how the presence of donzela-guerreira (Diadorim) generates a dramatic situation in the development of the character-narrator, questioning the patriarchal order and demanding another social order more fitting to the alternative love represente by Diadorim.
