Abstract
The text below was delivered during the Award Ceremony conferring the title of Emeritus Professor at Unicamp to Prof. Dr. Roberto Schwarz (DTL). It aims to highlight both the non-negotiable character of radical Marxist critique and a potential utopian dimension in Roberto Schwarz's philosophy. Schwarz perceives the pinnacle moments in history when the working class, peasants, and students assumed a central role in driving social transformations.
