Abstract

The Editorial Board and the Scientific Board of the journal "Serviço Social & Saúde" present the Scientific Community and readers with a new copy in the year that celebrates the eighteenth year of uninterrupted publication of the Journal. The sample was organized based on the discussions coming from the field of Health, which are inevitably crossed by other social policies and by the challenges related to the widening of inequalities in access to the law and the reduction of the financing of public social policies. In this perspective, the publication contributes to thinking about how structural and conjunctural aspects can put the right and access to historically constructed universal public policies at risk. We took advantage of the moment of meeting with the readers to explain that, from 2019, the periodical adopted the periodicity of continuous publication (PC) in line with the need to give wide visibility to publications at a time marked by the urgency of production and socialization. knowledge
