Resumo
Este trabalho investiga a contribuição semântica realizada por terminar na construção terminar de + infinitivo. Baseados na proposta de Rothstein (2004) sobre a incrementalidade em predicados de accomplishments, argumentamos que esse verbo seleciona como argumento um predicado que denota uma eventualidade e eventualidade incremental, e retorna um outro predicado que denota um evento e’, que é a culminação de e. Mostramos ainda que a seleção de predicados de eventualidades incrementais por verbos ou outros elementos com a mesma função de terminar em português brasileiro é uma constatação translinguística.Referências
