Abstract
This article analyses some theories about the copular constructions and discusses the relation between the copula and the nominal small clauses. It also presents the assumption that the nominal small clauses are predicative structures: DP1 always performs the role of subject and DP2 of predicate, no matter the DPs inherent features be.
