O presente artigo objetiva analisar o papel da prosódia na resolução de ambiguidade global em sentenças do tipo SN1 - V - SN2 - Advérbio de lugar - Advérbio de intensidade (bastante) - Atributo (e.g. O guitarrista recebeu o baterista no quarto bastante drogado), no português do Brasil. Consideramos a hipótese de que pistas prosódicas, como stress e pausa, auxiliam no processo de desambiguação, tanto de forma isolada quanto em conjunto. O paradigma experimental do presente estudo utilizou um método off-line de processamento linguístico através de um questionário cujas opções de respostas foram apresentadas em uma escala tipo Likert. Os resultados apresentados revelaram predominância de atribuição do adjetivo ao primeiro sintagma nominal, em todas as condições analisadas. Entretanto, a escolha por atribuir o adjetivo ao primeiro sintagma nominal aumentou, de forma estatisticamente significativa, nas condições em que houve manipulação prosódica para esse fim, mostrando evidências para confirmação da nossa hipótese.
