Resumen
Este estudio analiza la categoría de ideófonos en kreyòl (criollo haitiano), elementos léxicos que representan una idea en un sonido. El trabajo tiene como objetivo presentar las propiedades estructurales de los ideófonos haitianos relacionadas con áreas morfofonológicas, sintácticas y semánticas. La base teórica sigue a Samarin (1965), Childs (1994a, 1994b), Dingemanse (2011), Costa (2017), entre otros autores. En cuanto a los preceptos metodológicos, la investigación se basa en la recolección de datos en fuentes existentes, especialmente Prou (2000) y Champion et al. (2015). Un corpus de 81 datos de ideofón fue reanalizado y reclasificado en base a tres criterios para que una palabra sea considerada un ideófono en kreyòl: (1) contenido/rasgo presentonomatopaico, (2) sufrir reduplicación (morfo)fonológico y (3) no solo tener contenido nominal. Pronto, el corpus llegó a tener 66 datos, que fueron tratados en el software excel y Dekereke. Entre las hipótesis planteadas, asumimos que los ideófonos haitianos representan un marcador de complejidad gramatical, ya que sus características generales indican el uso de diferentes recursos para expresar un mismo fenómeno. Además, destacamos que la morfofonología es el área de análisis más productiva del ideófono haitiano. En términos generales, las principales características estructurales de los ideófonos kreyòl son: (1) para la sintaxis – tienden a ocurrir en oraciones declarativas, manifestadas en una posición sintáctica medial y/o final; (2) para morfofonología: tienen formatos morfológicos variados (A, A.A, A.B.B, A.B.C etc.); sufren reduplicación total y parcial, y reduplicación morfológica y fonológica; obedecer los inventarios vocálicos y consonánticos existentes en kreyòl, así como seguir la estructura silábica canónica (CV, CVC, CCV, etc.); y (3) para la semántica: se pueden enmarcar en diferentes macrocategorías semánticas, siendo las más expresivas: acciones, sonidos y movimientos.
