Abstract

The Paralympic movement has in its historical path a consolidation process. In Brazil,
the development has been driven by different social, state and private agents. The aim of this study is to present a contextualization of the national paralympic sport with the
main objective to characterize the case team UNICAMP/ADEACAMP of Rugby
wheelchair, trying to point out the development in the forms of sports management in its
manifestation of the high yield considering the characteristics of current sport,
highlighting the organization and financing. For this, we use the method of content
analysis, which allows to build instruments to study the contents of messages, trying to
select the latent and manifest aspects of the content of the speech and expressed the
contents of interviews , allowing interpret qualitative research of this project. With this
method it was possible to still build introductorily an overview of this project currently
developed at UNICAMP, determined configuration expressed by athletes, officials and
technical seeking interpretation of the structuring team discussing how this set of factors
guide the functioning of UNICAMP/ADEACAMP, beyond forms and resource
allocation systems.
