Abstract

The place occupied by Sports and Gymnastics in the field of Human and Social Sciences is the result of a movement of thought in this area, which has allowed the emergence of new objects, problems and interpretations that have made it possible to consider and configure practices such as Gymnastics, Sports, but also countless other activities in the universe of entertainment and leisure where body action is central. Configured as new objects of historical research, different problems and interpretations arise from them, as well as the insertion of curricular subjects of History of Sport and History of Physical Education in the various undergraduate program in Physical Education, both nationally and internationally; besides presenting, also, a strong interface with the field of Education (school or not)
