Resumen

Introduccion: El placebo se considera una sustancia o procedimiento inerte que puede proporcionar un efecto positivo o negativo dependiendo de la condición en la que se aplique. Está bien documentado que el placebo promueve resultados positivos en condiciones patológicas y en condiciones de rendimiento físico. Objetivo: Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este estudio es revisar en dos sesiones documentos que han abordado: 1) el efecto placebo y nocebo aplicado a la clínica en el tratamiento de la enfermerdad de Parkinson, la depresión y el dolor, y 2) el uso de placebo como recurso ergogénico en el rendimiento físico. Metodología: Para ello, se realizó una búsqueda en la base de datos "Pubmed" y "Web of Science". Resultados y discusión: En esta revisión, discutimos cómo actúa el efecto placebo en diversas afecciones, como dolor, depresión, enfermedad de Parkinson y rendimiento físico, además de los posibles mecanismos que pueden afectar este fenómeno. Conclusión: Podemos concluir que bajo el rendimiento clínico y físico, el placebo comparte regiones cerebrales similares, que generan respuestas positivas al tratamiento.
