Resumen

Objetivo: Explicar si una acelerometría puede evaluar el nivel de actividad física en individuos con lesiones medulares completas, aclarar el uso de filtros para tratar los datos del acelerómetro y demostrar cómo se usan las ecuaciones para estimar el gasto de energía. Metodología: se realizó una revisión sistemática de la literatura en las bases de datos PubMed y Science Direct, que incluyeron 16 artículos. Resultados: Verifica que 1) la acelerometría se puede usar para varias aletas, entre las cuales se aborda la medición del nivel de actividad física y la predicción del gasto energético; 2) Con respecto al modelo de equipo más utilizado, el uso de Actigraph es más frecuente en los artículos revisados; 3) El pulso es el mejor lugar para colocar el dispositivo; 4) los filtros de bajo ancho de banda (0.25 Hz) y alto ancho de banda (2.5 Hz) fueron los más relacionados; 5) El acelerómetro puede ser una herramienta utilizada para contar el nivel de actividad física en pacientes tetrapléjicos. Conclusión: la acelerometría ha demostrado ser una herramienta válida para medir los niveles de actividad entre actividades activas e inactivas, y también está indicada para estimar el gasto de energía durante las actividades de actividad en la población con LME.
