Abstract
This second issue of Linguistics and Linguistic Instruments brings texts that seek to discuss linguistic theories ("On the (De-)construction of Linguistic Theories", by M. Pêcheux), to study the grammar of the Royal Spanish Academy in its relation to the question of Spanish as a national language, and its teaching, in Latin American countries ("La Academia Española y la Historia de la Gramática" by C. Luis) and to reflect on the issue of Brazilian Portuguese ("Norma e Condescendência; Ciência e Pureza" , by E. Pagotto).
