Abstract
This issue, second in 2017, presents articles by authors from the Brazilian states of Paraíba, São Paulo, Paraná and Santa Catarina. The diversity of institutions of origin of the authors covers the Federal University of Paraíba, the University of Campinas, the University of São Paulo, the Federal University of Paraná and the Federal University of Santa Catarina. The foundation areas involved concentrate on Architecture and Urbanism interacting with Civil Engineering, Biological Sciences and Mechanical Engineering. Studies are presented that address the preservation and recovery of modern heritage, the implications of the real estate market in urban territory, urban and architectural form and the occurrence of crimes, green roofs helping to maintain urban biodiversity and the potential to reduce energy consumption in a edification influenced by the material with phase change in the external wall. Thus, the themes of heritage, urban form, and energy performance set the discussions and new knowledge presented in this issue.I accept that PARC Research in Architecture and Building Construction journal perform, on the original file approved for publication, revisions and modifications in orthoghaphic, grammar and standard issues.
