Abstract

PARC Research in Architecture and Construction opens the first issue of Volume 9 of 2018 with research articles developed by researchers from the Brazilian states of Alagoas, Bahia, São Paulo, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, including international interaction with Barcelona, Spain. The teaching and research institutions involved in the studies presented are: Faculdade Meridional, Faculdades de Itapiranga, Federal Institute of Bahia, Community University of the Region of Chapecó, University of São Paulo, Federal University of Alagoas, Federal University of Santa Catarina, Integrated Regional University the High Uruguay and the Missions, and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. The authors are mostly Architects and Urbanists, including Civil Engineers. The topics covered are natural and artificial lighting, the design specification of building systems and environmental perception.
