Abstract
Ni Wayan Sekariani (55 years old) is a teacher and dancer of balinese traditional and contemporary dramas. Born in the village of Batuan, in Gianyar regency, Sekar graduated in balinese dances at ASTI - Akademi Seni Tari Indonesia (Academy of Artistic Dances in Indonesia) today Institut Seni Indonesia - Denpasar (Indonesia’s Institute of Arts) in Denpasar. Sekar has performed in several countries, including Japan, where she collaborated with Noh artists. She is master I Made Djimat’s niece and adopted daughter and belongs to the group of actors, dancers and musicians of Tri Pusaka Sakti Ensemble.
