Resumo
Neste artigo a autora dá voz a alunos adolescentes (do sexo masculino) que efetivamente fazem aulas de dança na escola. A fim de ampliar as discussões sobre o que os meninos pensam sobre as aulas de dança, a autora dá ênfase aos relacionamentos entre estes estudantes, às aulas de dança e ao status da dança na sociedade abordando questões de gênero, conhecimento e educação. Neste artigo, a autora compartilha com o leitor resultados parciais de sua pesquisa, de ordem qualitativa, que abarcou entrevistas com 88 jovens de 15 a 18 anos, 19 deles do sexo masculino. Este artigo complementa o anterior: Reflexões sobre a Dança e os Meninos.
Abstract:
in this article the author gives voice to some male adolescent students who take dance at school in order to broaden the discussions about what they say about dance classes. The author emphasizes the relationships created between these students, dance classes and the status of dance in society taking into acount issues of gender, knowledge and education. She shares in this article partial findings of a qualitative research that encompassed interviews with 88 youngsters from 15 to 18 years old, 19 of them being male. This article complements the previous one: Reflections on Boys and Dance.
