Abstract
The current article takes as a starting point the archaeological exhibition diverse: "Gender Facets in Pre-Hispanic Ecuador.” In this contribution, we propose that an education praxis enabled by a dialogic methodology can positively articulate spaces within universities, museums and activist groups, and trigger real steps towards a real Public Archeology. Furthermore, we propose how Paulo Freire's reflections on education as a practice of freedom, and his detailed methodological proposals from the “Pedagogy of the Oppressed”, can be further applied in order to question and subvert different hegemonic intellectual and social fields.
