Resumen
Si bien el género se ha hecho un lugar en la arqueología posprocesual durante los últimos cincuenta años, algunos enfoques feministas y queer han empezado, más recientemente, a integrarse en la investigación tomando en cuenta los géneros no binarios, fluidos y las transidentidades en los contextos arqueológicos, en particular en el estudio de los contextos norteamericanos donde numerosas sociedades no son binarias. A través de un enfoque reflexivo y teórico, este artículo trata del tema de los géneros no binarios, fluidos y de las transidentidades en las sociedades antiguas estrictamente binarias; también examina cómo los arqueólogos pueden o no integrar estas diversidades de géneros en la interpretación de los contextos funerarios.
