Resumo

O artigo aborda as críticas mais importantes articuladas durante os últimos trinta anos da Teoria Conceptual da Metáfora fundada por Lakoff & Johnson. Nosssa intenção é sintetizar e discutir os pontos mais fracos da abordagem e dirigir nossa atenção para pesquisas atuais que buscam superar as falhas da teoria sem abandonar seus pressupostos básicos.
