Resumo
In this paper, I present research geared toward the identification of metaphors in a corpus of conference calls given by a Brazilian investment bank. These conference calls are presentations held between the bank’s board and its investors. The methodology was based on the extensive annotation of all metaphors in the corpus. This annotation was followed by a thorough check via concordances, in order to ensure its consistency. Results show the most frequent metaphors, the vocabulary that realizes them, as well as the source domains from which they originate.Referências
