Resumen

El aprendizaje a través de la técnica de la danza tiene el potencial de transformar a los estudiantes, tanto en términos de sus capacidades corporales como en términos de su percepción de sí mismos en el mundo. A través de una exploración del "cómo" de la pedagogía de la danza, esta investigación investiga el aprendizaje de la técnica de la danza a través de informes de estudiantes graduados y la reflexión de profesores / investigadores del Conservatorio de Música y Danza Trinity Laban, en Londres. Las experiencias de varios niveles de siete estudiantes participantes son fundamentales, ya que aportan una comprensión de las complejas formas en que se puede habilitar la transformación en la pedagogía de la técnica de la danza. Las perspectivas teóricas de la pedagogía comprometida y la ética del cuidado proporcionan una estructura a través de la cual se organizan los datos de los estudiantes participantes. La participación activa, la demostración de cuidado y los entornos estimulantes se discuten en términos de los matices de la experiencia de cada alumno. El enfoque de interpretación fenomenológica se utiliza en este estudio longitudinal en el que el docente / investigador se ubica como sujeto y copartícipe.
