Abstract
This review discusses the book Praxiologia Motriz e Voleibol: elementos para o trabalho pedagógico, organized by professor João Francisco Magno Ribas. The book presents dense analyzes of Volleyball internal logic, based on Motor Praxeology, in addition to structuring the teaching-learning process of the sport, based on didactic examples in the Situational method. In this review, a synthesis of what is discussed in the work is carried out, complementing some points of the Volleyball internal logic characterization. In addition, there is a critical debate regarding the proposed articulation between the Situational method and Motor Praxeology for teaching Volleyball, pointing out its didactic-methodological limitations and potential. The book allows new perspectives on Volleyball, especially for the pedagogical practice of Physical Education teachers and professionals, as a guiding subsidy for a committed teaching-learning process and, mainly, judicious in relation to the characteristics of Volleyball, supported by praxeological knowledge.
