Abstract

“Conexões” turns 25 years old. This special editorial was written by the main researchers responsible for its creation, describing how the need for a journal dedicated to the dissemination of multidisciplinary studies in the field of Education, Sport and Leisure arose, initially from an exchange network of the academic community formed by historians and social scientists. Therefore, the magazine "Conexões: Educação, Esporte, Lazer" emerged as a result of the collective effort led by the "History Group of the Faculty of Physical Education" at UNICAMP, aiming to offer a channel for the dissemination of knowledge, promoting debates through a space open to a diversity of themes and theoretical frameworks, encompassing the production of both renowned authors and young researchers.
