Abstract
Archeology in Brazil has been generally developed disconnected from pedagogical praxis. The objective of this article is to reach a proposal to reduce this disconnection, with the promotion of archaeological pedagogy articulated with theoretical currents for the development of contents that provide autonomy. This encouragement permeates the understanding that archaeological research is not a technicist activity, and that the humanities must be integrated with the promotion of interactions, which provide connections with people and their memories, ancestry, and practices. It is necessary to understand that archaeological pedagogy should not be centered on describing archaeological records and/or formulating syntheses with abstract language but should seek to show the connections with societies in the places where the investigation is carried out.
