Abstract
In the philosophy of Aristotle, the feeling of friendship has an ambivalence with the emotions of rivalry (lamproites) such as cholera (orgê) and emulation (Zêlos). In this sense, this article aims to resume on the emotional aspects that involve the concept of friendship, aiming to deepen this relationship, to analyze the dynamics between the excitement of rivalry and the categories of desire in Aristotle. The productivity of these reflections, indicate that the way the various social relations and the construction of knowledge are developed, they are also emotional, fact that expose as a necessary condition for the development of aspects linked to human formation.
