Abstract
The present text discusses two sets of works with the intention to approach the recurrent dual and polarized character of Aby Warburg's thinking. The first set revolves around a fifteenth-century tapestry, which historical and symbolic complexity was analyzed by Warburg in 1913, whereas the second set is composed by a panel of his Atlas Mnemosyne and a 1925 commemorative seal of peace agreement, whose Historical and symbolic unfolding are examined in different layers.
