Abstract
In 1939 and 1940, Brazilian Art was presented in two collective exhibitions of Latin American Art in the United States. These exhibitions were held at the Riverside Museum in New York and were linked to a great event of those years, the “New York World's Fair”, organized by the government of the United States, with the participation of several nations. The purpose of this article is to discuss how the Brazilian government organized the two exhibitions, by analyzing two different sources: the catalog and the reports published by the Brazilian government after the events.
