The unmeasured in the measure of Natalia Leite

Abstract

This article approaches the work of Natalia Leite, a patient of the São Pedro Psychiatric Hospital, who has been developing an impressive artistic work. Her artworks are species of stilettos that seek to break with the cloistered spaces of the psychiatric institution. I bring to talk with Natalia's work a poem by Rainer Maria Rilke entitled The Panther, in which the poet rehearses a reflection on the repetition automatisms and the movements that we have to do to stop the movement of always turning around the same point without never leaving the place.
