Abstract
This paper is a report of experience of implementing the Portal Site of the National Library of Brasília (BNB – Biblioteca Nacional de Brasília), which applies market segmentation and offers online services and products according to the needs of the public regarding information. With this initiative, the BNB Portal Site displays an interactive and self-explainable interface, gathering pertinent information to each group of users assisted by the institution. At last, the paper presents each detail of the project, from its conception up to the release of the internet site.
