Abstract
Abstract Reflect on the elements that integrate the management of academic information, concerning the organization and representation, with a view to its retrieval and use. It covers the information produced in the information flow at the core of regulation established by the government, just as its explicit identification of the developments related to information content, management object. The study includes a simplified representation of model information, translated in dimensions and control indicators, which focus group characteristics and criteria to explain the elements of the informational universe in academic management. The empirical object of this research has extended its share in the information environment of a federal university department, in teaching, research and extension in graduate and postgraduate level.
