Abstract
The aim of this research is to investigate the application of the Law 9610/98 and verify the agreement of Brazilian Courts on authors’ copyright in cases where there are labor relations, in order to guide individuals about their authors’ copyright and organizations in establishing their institutional information politics. It presents, as a context to the theme, since approaches on the “human production” conception, definition and conception of “authorship” and “authors’ copyright”, till a brief investigation on specific legislation about the subject. The research was carried out between August 2002 and July 2005, searching decisions in jurisprudential databases from nine different Brazilian Courts. Unexpectedly, no case of authorship with labor relations was found and this pointed out to the necessity of continuing the research on different hypothesis.
