El mundo como proceso - reflexiones traslatológicos

The author argues that the continuum of real and imaginary worlds can methodologically be considered sets of processes in which objects are temporarily objectivized 'orbit' moments. The process model explains how phenomena can temporarily come together and/or drift apart. Text production, reception and translation are processes which take time conduct, and this can lead to incoherence within and between texts. Source and target texts are produced for different processes (different source and target functions and recipients); they must, therefore, necessarily differ in form (language as such is trivial), content, context meaning, function and 'value' for different recipients. An holistic approach explains the 'intertextuality' and continuity of phenomena as process moments within other processes. If I give away a book of mine to someone else, the book does not simply become 'his/her book', but continues to be 'my-book-which-I­ have-given-to-him/her'. Even once it has been translated, a source text continues to exist as an element of the translatum-process; this can explain why people so often insist on a literal translation in order to 'preserve' the original as much as possible throughout any future processes (the target texts).
