Resumo
Este artigo faz parte de pesquisa iniciada em 2013 na Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, sobre Relações de Gênero em Arquitetura e Urbanismo no Brasil. O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar revisão da literatura internacional sobre o tema e introduzir as contribuições do sociólogo francês Pierre Bourdieu aos estudos de gênero e arquitetura. Primeiramente é apresentado um panorama das publicações em arquitetura e gênero na literatura internacional, onde são apresentadas as diferentes linhas/abordagens do assunto. Em seguida, é brevemente apresentada a busca pela interdisciplinaridade em arquitetura a partir da década de 60. Na última parte são apresentadas os principais conceitos da praxeologia de Pierre Bourdieu e os seus rebatimentos em pesquisas na área de arquitetura.
