Abstract
The present research, fruit of a documentary analysis, sought to apprehend the presence of the
Gymnastics content in classes of Physical Education (PE) of a specific school and reality. We
emphasize the possibilities of all gymnastics modalities to be present in the school space, highlighting
the Gymnastics For All (GFA) as closest to the characteristics of the school, due to gymnastic
movements that can be transformed by assigning new meanings to the modalities that present rigid and
predetermined rules, the possibilities of structural adjustment, the richness of the choreographic
construction process, the promotion of creativity, of inclusion, among other aspects. We analyzed
diaries of physical education classes referring to the year 2017 (Elementary and high school) and the
results showed that the gymnastics was worked in the classes from 1st to 6th year of Elementary
School and in the 1st year of High School, being the GFA the only gymnastic practice approached. In
Elementary School, some basic gymnastic elements have been developed and choreographic
composition, while in high school, gymnastics appears as theme for seminars. We consider that the
school develops GFA and we suggest conducting further research to understand how such classes are
developed and the reasons for other modalities do not appear in the specific records.
