School form: a cilizatory machine

Abstract

In this interesting exercise of reviewing a book, which includes a reflexive action, the text tries to rescue traces of the work entitled “The emergence of the School”, written by the head professor of the Department of Education of the State University of Rio de Janeiro, José Gonçalves Gondra, published in the second half of the year 2018. It is a breath-taking work, whose reflections had their genesis approximately ten years before its publication. It is, therefore, an interesting undertaking to resume necessary reflections on the history of our education and the contributions of an intellectual engaged in the Brazilian educational cause.
