Among the body, the architeture and the fabling: Invisible conectives and imaginary cartographies from Tunga's – Psicoactive Galery in Inhotim

Abstract

In this text it will be analyzed the relations among the Tunga's–- Psychoactive Pavilion architectonic space, in the Inhotim Institute, with some permanently objects exposed in it's interior, from the perspective of the body in transformation. Since the institute's artworks are also part of books and fictional narratives created by the artist, as well as of expositions that were held previous to the venue opening, the current analysis will explore the uneasy web of interpretations that the works unfold, inside the self-referent/rhizomatic conception that Tunga proposes in his poetics. This analytic approach is related to the dissertation Instauration and Alchemy: the body in transmutation in Tunga's works, developed between the years of 2014 and 2016 at UNICAMP's Visual Arts Postgraduate Program.
