Abstract

In Metamorphosis, Ovide wrote about the history of pure love between Pyramus and Tysbe and its tragic outcome. In the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, the myth was carved in caskets by Parisian artisans and Bottega degli Embriachi. The article will seek to make some considerations about the visual narrative of the myth in these objects of personal use, understanding them as spaces pervaded and enlivened by various narratives.
