Abstract

In this paper we propose to discuss the history of the Venice Biennale through different approaches, the first in relation to the history of its exhibition model, the second in relation to the construction of the memory of the event through its historical archive and the third in relation to its current status through the latest version presented, the 58th Venice Biennale, entitled May you live in interesting times. The article seeks to place the importance of this mega-event even in difficult times, that do not constitute an exception but are inherent to the trajectory of this institution.
