The image-experience in the intersection of art and everyday life spheres

Abstract

In this article I discuss the image-experience occurrence, operating concept of an artistic practice engendered in my doctoral thesis. It´s an action originated in a gesture of perceptual readiness, a work that arrises from situations of unprepared encounter, conformed as gaps in everyday life in which the image is full of experience. Its establishment at Chapel Gallery, in Lisbon, an exhibition space that maintains singular historical characteristics related to its original use, motivated a reflection of an intersection between art and everyday life dimensions, providing an understanding of presentificationas an update of image-experience.
