Abstract

In this work, the didactic resources acts to facilitate the teaching and learning process that will explore the production of models and games, chosen as resources that were built with the use of various stationery items, to be used in workshops that are part of the extension project Volcanoes and Travels, linked to the Federal University of Pernambuco, created to take the teaching of volcanology to basic education. The building process of these resources made possible for the extension workers to approach scientific knowledge and develop the ability to simplify it for the execution of the workshops. The models and games were presented to more than two thousand participants in the states of Pernambuco and Paraíba and made possible for students to articulate the knowledge of school Geography to their subjects of greatest interest within the Earth sciences: Volcanism and Dinosaurs.
