Resumo
The ideas developed in this text derive from a certain approach to translation and also from a view of reading as a language act that reveals the intervention and integration of the reader with the language. Translation and reading are events that create and produce meaning in the relationship between the translator or reader and the text. The similarities and differences between reading and translating are important for a reflection on comprehension and interpretation of a text and for the evaluation of the effects of these two events in relation to the issues of enunciation and meaning.O periódico Trabalhos em Linguística Aplicada utiliza a licença do Creative Commons (CC), preservando assim, a integridade dos artigos em ambiente de acesso aberto.
