ENSINO DE LÍNGUA INGLESA VIA LEITURA: UMA REFLEXÃO SOBRE A ELABORAÇÃO DE MATERIAL DIDÁTICO PARA AUTO-INSTRUÇÃO
ResumoThe present paper discusses as attempt on the part of a research group at UNICAMP to construct a body of self-study material for foreign language reading instruction to be accessed by graduate students via an internal computer network system. This pedagogic material is based on an interactive view of top/down and bottom/up processes involved in reading. The paper presents a brief retrospective account of the above-cited theoretical proposal, as well as the reasons that led us to adopt such an interactive approach for self-access material. Student evaluations, recorder after interaction with the material, are presented and interpreted in an attempt to offer guidelines for future materials design.
