Abstract
O escopo deste número dedicado ao tema “Linguagem e tecnologia - debates contemporâneos no campo aplicado” é o de apresentar e discutir - sem a pretensão de ser exaustivo e sem a restrição de explorar apenas uma visada utópica ou distópica - modos de apreensão, hipóteses e problemas que consideramos relevantes para o estudo do tema no campo transdisciplinar da Linguística Aplicada. Para isso, estão agrupados na primeira parte 6 trabalhos inéditos de autores brasileiros e, na segunda parte, 4 traduções de trabalhos já publicados de autores estrangeiros. A inclusão de artigos traduzidos não visa, porém, à divulgação do que se apresenta como produção estrangeira mais recente e sim à expansão e qualificação dos termos de um debate mais abrangente, que acreditamos ser fundamental para a reflexão no campo aplicado contemporâneo. E, tendo em vista o histórico de pesquisa do tema no âmbito do Programa de Pós-graduação em Linguística Aplicada do IEL, este número busca atender também aos interesses específicos da pesquisa nessa área de concentração.
