Resumen

Este artículo analiza críticamente lo que significa el fenómeno del llamado discurso "posverdad" para los fundamentos epistemológicos de la investigación lingüística aplicada, especialmente estudios basados en lo que se ha llamado la visión "posmoderna" de la vida social. Desde una perspectiva narrativa como performance, propono que la difusión de la investigación pueda ser vista como una práctica metanarrativa y que, por lo tanto, la validez y la solidez del conocimiento se construyan durante los acontecimientos narrativos en la encrucijada en los que estos metanarrativos son cuestionados por compañeros, participantes, editores, etc. Sobre todo, sostengo que la narrativa conmovedora (tanto las contadas por los participantes de la investigación como los metanarrativos cosidos por el investigador) pueden ser catalizadores en la identificación de puntos de articulación entre los supuestos polos de emoción y razón para avanzar en cuestiones sociales en el corazón de la Lingüística Aplicada que pueden ser marginadas o deslegitimadas por lo que se llama el discurso de la "posverdad". Alineado con el concepto latouriano de las redes que fundamentalmente dan forma a la construcción del conocimiento y, también sugiero que las relaciones de poder con las que están entrelazadas necesitan ser cuestionadas más en profundidad para que tales narrativas lleguen a un público más amplio y potencialmente consigan una transformación social.
