Resumen
El Centro de Operaciones de Río (COR) es una sala de control que reúne a representantes de agencias y secretarías de Río de Janeiro y monitorea las imágenes de las cámaras esparcidas por la ciudad. Además de gestionar la vida diaria de la ciudad, el centro jugó un papel importante en la organización de megaeventos. En este contexto, la presente investigación explora la influencia de COR en los nuevos procesos de mediación de la experiencia urbana, especialmente en lo que respecta a las movilidades. Como metodología, se utilizaron entrevistas a personas que fueron decisivos en la creación y funcionamiento del COR, así como una bibliografía sobre los temas de mediación, mediatización y ciudades inteligentes. Además, el concepto de cibermovilidad nos ayuda a resaltar el entrelazamiento de las dimensiones física, virtual y comunicacional de la movilidad. La investigación apunta que el centro ha cambiado la dinámica de la movilidad de la ciudad, principalmente por su integración con las aplicaciones de navegación y tráfico y su presencia constante en los medios y redes sociales.
