Abstract

In this paper we characterize a mutual interview between two teachers, Raquel and Isolda,
about the concept of dialogue in mathematics education. The interview was justified by the fact that the
teachers would develop a collective practice in a supervised teaching practice course in mathematics
mediated by dialogue in order to promote learning. Considering the concepts of dialogue by Bohm, and
by Alrø and Skovsmose, the concept of interview by Kvale and Brinkmann, as well as what has been
experienced by Raquel and Isolda, we present a characterization for mutual interview which includes
dialogic acts and the actions of seeing together, thinking together and constructing common knowledge
together.
