Informatics in Mathematics Teaching: investing in the learning environment

Abstract

This paper aims to show and discuss some questions in the studies and researches of mathematics
teaching assisted by technology, mainly at the computing area, and in the context of technological education.
It shows some considerations of the mathematical computerization at undergraduate courses, study and
research groups about the use of new technologies, especially of the computers, with eminence for an
initiative in progress in the Mathematics and Statistic Department – DMS of the Pontifícia Catholic
University of Minas Gerais - PUC Minas – Brazil.
